The Canary Islands are an autonomous Spanish area in the Atlantic Ocean. It lies in the most southerly region of the Spanish archipelago known as Macaronesia, 62 miles west side of Morocco to the nearest.

The Canary Islands are part of the EU Union economically and politically, but with its geographical dimensions, it is alleged to be situated in the African Tectonic Plate. The capital cities of the Canary Islands comprise Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The principal Canary Islands separated from the Spanish Archipelago are Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Graciosa from its largest size to its lowest respectively based on its geography. Historically it proved to be as a traverse for few continents around including Europe, Africa, North America and South America.

Largest city of Canary Islands is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the most populated Island is Tenerife. The country has Spain as its official language.

More than 10 million tourists arrive every year in the region of the archipelago’s beaches to swallow up the subtropical climate, primarily in the tourist destination of Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

The climate is so, long and very hot summers with a mild warm winter. Greenery and desert can be still found in this neighborhood.

There is a huge amount of traffic from Maspalomas to Gran Canaria. Tenerife has been highlighted in the 3 list as the highest volcano in the world measured base to the ocean floor, and finally Tenerife with its World Heritage site Mount Teide and Teide National Park.

The evolution of the Canary Islands occurred millions of years ago as a result of volcanic eruptions. They are further divided into two parts: the Eastern group and the Western group.
The western group summarised with Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and Ferro Islands. And Eastern group associated with Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and a few other islands surrounded by a unique underwater plateau.
