Side is pronounced as see-deh, a resort town on Turkey’s southern Mediterranean coast. It is 75 kms east of the Turkey’s largest city Antalya and half the way to Alanya. It is a brand recognised for its long beaches and Greco-Roman remnants.
In the middle you can see centuries old Antique Theater, Hellenistic Temple of Athena, and Side Museum. Along the way to resort you can explore more of the historic sites like Perge, Selge, Aspendos and Manavgat Waterfalls. Side is more or less totally bounded by pleasing golden-sand beaches.
Best Time to visit Side
The best time to visit Side is from May to September and recommended most of the time of the year with its weather. The atmospheric condition is quite perfect as well as with water bodies for taking air at sunset. A small village attracts full of vacation resorts and tourists with its ideal long sandy beaches either side.
Tourism began in late 50’s but boomed in the 80’s. It is reckoned to be as one of the safest places in Antalya to travel. The Side city centre holds a huge number of pubs, bars, nightclubs and eating houses. On the whole it is best seat to stay away for few days.

The distance between Antalya airport to Side resort is 64 km. There is a regular bus service to Side from Antalya.
You find it more comfortable, faster and more reliable with slightly expensive cost. There is huge public transportation system in Turkey such as local buses and private cars, minibuses, tram and metro. Stopovers for boarding and alighting point are usually suitable and are situated near main squares, terminals and connections.
